Time and connection help us all to feel loved, heard, seen and valued. It’s our precious time we can give to the people we love.

Even if it is 5 minutes of our time, being fully present in those 5 minutes can empower everyone with your presence.

Quality time is a love language for all humans and Garry Chapman the author of The 5 Love Languages believes some people need more of it than others. BUT, all people need it and flourish because of it.
Giving time to children helps nurture their self-worth. They feel worthy of our time and energy, they see that we see them as valuable human beings.
For Parents
Notice the pockets of time you have with your children where you can be fully present and in the moment with them. Notice how you feel when you do this and notice how your child responds. Then notice how much closer you feel in the relationship.
For Educators
If a child want’s a conversation at an inconvenient time for you, suggest a time where you can give the child the attention you want for them. Let them know “I really want to give you and this conversation the attention and my time that it deserves, can we chat about before lunch today?”
